About MyEduc

A school can stand on its own without standing alone.

MyEduc is a South African online school and the umbrella group for a family of independent schools. Both roles are built around the same idea: widen access while keeping education personal and accountable.

The short version

Independent in identity. Connected in operation.

Why the model exists

Where a learner lives should not set the limit.

MyEduc began with a simple belief: access to good education should not be limited by place. Online delivery makes schooling available beyond a single campus.

The group model answers a different need. Independent schools can keep their identity and community while sharing standards, resources and oversight that are harder for one smaller school to carry alone.

That is why MyEduc operates in two connected ways: as a full online school, and as the organisation that brings independent schools together. The aim is not to make every school the same. It is to give each one a dependable backbone.

A restrained set of commitments

What the structure must protect

The group exists to support good schooling without flattening the people and places that make a school itself.

  1. Access

Quality schooling should not depend on a postcode. Online delivery gives learners beyond a single campus a way to take part.

  2. Accountability

Shared standards make expectations clear across teaching, assessment and record-keeping.

  3. Care

Every learner is a person, not a headcount. The structures around a school should help it notice and support the individual.

The umbrella model

Independent in identity. Connected in operation.

The model separates what belongs to each school from what the group is stronger carrying together.

Families receive the care of a smaller school with the reliability of a larger organisation behind it.
